A master class for all on 24th November when bass player, Janek Gwizdala and
drummer, Benno Sattler paid a visit.
Unfortunately Antonio was unable to attend due to being ill in hospital, but this was
no problem, thanks to Master Performance tutor Simon Carter filling in on keys.
Unlike many master classes this was different in the way that it was not centred around the
one instrument and focused more on the relationship between the different instruments e.g.
in a band. They played through a range of material from using sequencers for “Drum n Bass
tracks to classics from artists sch as Earth Wind and Fire and Herbie Hancock. During the
class they each answered questions, with all three of them being busy were not shy in
talking about what its like and giving those wishing to aspire to there position advice and
passed on helpful tips that each found beneficial. They each displayed a real passion for
their instruments and a true love for music. With this rubbing off on students, it was a great
master class from which everyone had learnt a lot. |
